Antique French Trestle Walnut Dining Table, with a Fleur-de-Lys or Fleur-de-Lis design. We generally stock between 40 and 50 antique French trestle dining tables here in Chicago and many more in our Toulouse warehouse, but this antique French trestle dining table is a bit of a mystery. Take a quick glance and you might assume that it’s from the 1920’ s, as we did at first, but when you take a really hard look underneath the table, you can see that the boards were cut with a hand-saw. The closer we inspected the older the French dining table became and I wish I was smart enough to really determine the age, but the early 1800’s would be a good hypothesis. Structurally, we rebuilt the table, while cosmetically we left the dining table pretty much original, since the walnut table top had a magnificent original patina.
