Standard Shipping and Processing
Our shipping and processing charges are intended to compensate our company for processing your order, handling and packing the products you purchase, delivering them to you, and covering related overhead. Most purchases are shipped from our warehouses to arrive within 7-14 business days of receipt of the order. If there is a delay, we will notify you by mail or email. Some items sent directly from our suppliers may take longer, and items ordered together may not arrive in the same box. Items shipped to Alaska, Hawaii and US Territories will be charged our regular shipping and processing fees, with an additional charge depending on size and location. Some heavy or oversized items cannot be shipped outside the contiguous 48 states. We regret that we cannot ship to foreign countries through our website at the present time, please call us and exceptions can be made depending on item, shipping options and region of the world.
Shipping to Hawaii and Alaska
We are offering shipments of furniture and antiques to Hawaii and Alaska. Please call us for details. There will be an additional surcharge per order. This surcharge is in addition to regular delivery charges. Please call us at 312.714.3000 or e-mail us at email@example.com .
Standard Delivery and Processing Charges
Old Plank uses three modes of delivery for all our customers:
1. Free Shipping - On some items, we have included delivery into the price and streamlined the entire process for our consumer. Many times, this is not possible though. Free shipping cannot be used with trade rates or specially priced outlet items unless otherwise marked. The best carrier available for the item and locale will be used.
2. 'Flat Rate' Preferred Old Plank Carrier - We will use the carrier that we have had the most experience with throughout the years. These shipments will usually originate from one of our distributors or our warehouse in Chicago directly to your residence. This maybe accomplished by carrier, preferred White Glove service, USPS, UPS or FedEx.
3. 'Plycon' Blanket Wrapped Antique Delivery Service - This service will usually include the blanket wrapping of your antique and delicate, careful handling of your merchandise delivered to your residence. This service is usually used to ship and deliver heavy, antique items from our Chicago warehouse to your home or place of delivery.
We reserve the right to change the shipment process, method or carrier based on the item or individual circumstance to preserve the safe shipment of your valuable antique or merchandise. Shipping costs are figured for each particular item in the store depending on where you live. Shipping methods have been predetermined ahead of time and set for each item. To find out how much your item(s) will cost for shipping, simply enter your item(s) into the shopping cart by clicking on the "Add to Cart" button (no purchases are made at this point until you go through the entire process of delivery address and many options are available in the shopping cart to change.
Shipping to a Different Address
To ship an item to an address other than your billing address, click on the "Ship To Different Address" link in the Shopping Cart for each item and update the recipient information. For frequent customers, we will store up to ten different addresses in your account for you at one time.
Shipping to a P.O. Box
We can ship most items to a P.O. Box. This excludes extra large items and those shipped directly from our manufacturers.
