Pair of antique French candlesticks from the castle Loyat, located in Brittany that were probably made in the mid to early 1800s. We found the pair of antique hand-made candlesticks, in the castle of Loyat, near Ploërmel, from which we purchased numerous items. The castle Loyat, dates back to the time of Louis XIV (1643-1715) and was constructed by the de Coëtlogon; among others, a Marshal of France and the bishop of Cornouaille. Measurements provided are for the candelabra on the left. The one on the right is 20.25" high, 14.25" wide and 9" deep.
