Pair of vintage bronzed turtle shell sconces, originally purchased in the 1970s and we quickly realized, that you could not merely polish the turtle shells to reveal, what one would typically expect a turtle shell to look like. They were ugly and the turtle shells just sat in a drawer for decades. Recently, we came across a process, that allows us to apply a thin real bronze coating to the surface. We fabricated two-candelabra bulb sockets, that will mount to the wall and the shells just slip over, creating a sconce. We strongly suggest purchasing LED bulbs for reduced heat.
