French antique Duchesse Brisée, sort of. This particular French chair and ottoman have been together for decades, but were not born at the same time, nor even the same hospital. They did however, live in the same home, with a serious collector of 17th century English antiques. The frames are both quite old and judging by the wear on the arms, I would say probably mid-1800s, or thereabouts. We have our old in house old plank upholstery department and would be happy to quote rebuilding the frames and recovering them, using traditional horsehair for stuffing.
Measurements provided are for the chair. The ottoman is 17" high, 29.25" wide and 26.5" deep.
