Over the last 25 years we probably have handled over 100 tilt-top wine tables and rarely are they ever made from solid walnut. We think the original intention of these tables were for the vineyard workers to use for lunch and they were folded up and kept in the barns when not being utilized. Most were covered with a heavy fabric held down with a thin wooded tack strip around the out edge and therefore made from inexpensive scrap wood and only once in a great moon do we see one this beautiful. Notice the diamond heads on the steel bolts attaching the top to the base? The table is a bit low and there would be no charge if you would like it raised a little.
