Beautiful and unusual at the same time, for although these French Art Deco club chairs are on the more petite scale, because of the way their arms are designed, a much larger person than you could image fits quite comfortably. Trust me I know. This pair is old enough, that when they were first made they would have had velvet seat cushions filled with down and not leather. Our upholstery and leather dying departments got together and I think made an incredible pair of matching new leather seat cushions and of course stuffed with real down feather for that extra bit of comfort. The workshop at the same time installed eight-way hand-tied coil springs and stuffed the frame with horsehair and shredded coco as needed.
